MATHEMATICAL MODELING OF EVAPORATIVE COOLING OF WATER
FILMS IN WATER-COOLING TOWERS

A mathematical model of evaporative cooling of water 
films flowing down vertical guards in a chimney-type water-cooling 
tower is developed. Results of a qualitative analysis of the nonlinear 
mathematical model are reported. Data obtained from a numerical solution 
of a boundary-value problem for a system of ordinary differential 
equations are presented in the form of graphs.
