CHANGES IN THE CRYSTAL STRUCTURE OF METALS UNDER LASER RADIATION

Liopo UDC 535.391:621.376 The change in the crystal structure of a number of metals (Cu, Al, Ag) under laser radiation of power density 104 - 105 W/cm2 was detected by the method of x-ray diffractometry. It was suggested that this effect is due to the large microstresses arising in the zone of rapid anisotropic heating of the metal under irradiation. Ya.
