INVESTIGATION OF RADIATION EFFECTSCAUSED BY THE INTERACTION OF beta- RADIATIONWITH POLYVINYL CHLORIDE
B. B. Kolupaev UDC 541.64:547.455 The dissipation of the energy of -radiation in polyvinyl chloride has been analyzed. The change in the properties of polyvinyl chloride under the action of -particles with an energy of 2.32 MeV has been characterized using the potentials of intermolecular and intramolecular interactions and the Bohr potential. The interrelation between certain micro- and macroproperties of polyvinyl chloride was determined and methods of their control with the use of -radiation were developed.
