TESTING OF THE v2-f MODEL OF TURBULENCE IN CALCULATING THE FLOW AND HEAT TRANSFER IN AN ABRUPTLY EXPANDING DUCT

Smirnov UDC 532.516:536.25 This paper presents the results of testing of the v2-f model of turbulence with the examples of two-dimensional flow of an incompressible fluid and heat exchange with the walls of an abruptly expanding duct. The calculation data have been compared to the known experimental data, and the data of direct numerical simulation, as well as to results of calculations with the use of two versions of the k- model.
