ON THE CLUSTER STRUCTURE OF A CIRCULATING FLUIDIZED BED
Yu. S. Teplitskii UDC 533.6 A model of a bottom fluidized bed has been developed, in which the latter is represented as an ensemble of uniformly distributed spherical clusters. Using Ergun's formula, we obtained the dependence for calculating the diameter of a cluster. The results were compared with experimental data on the sizes of clusters in the transport zone of a circulating fluidized bed. In the framework of this model, a correlation to calculate the rate of filtration at which the bottom layer disappears has been obtained. A. V.
