V. V. Chuprasov, M. S. Tret'yak, V. V. Toropov, S. A. Chizhik, and A. P. Solntsev UDC 541.11 The structure of a setup and the results of experiments on obtaining carbon nanostructures with the use of a d.c. arc discharge between coaxial graphite electrodes have been presented. The discharge was stabilized by a magnetic field. The condensed carbon has been investigated by the method of atomic-force microscopy. A. V.
