INDIRECT DETERMINATION OF THE TURBULENT DIFFUSION COEFFICIENTS
O. V. Nagornov,a E. S. Sokolov,a and V. E. Tchijovb UDC 519.6:537.84 By solving the inverse problem, the method of indirect determination of the turbulent diffusion coefficients (TDCs) has been developed. The application of this method to the case where the TDCs are constant and where the altitude dependence of the vertical TDC is present has been considered. The requirements imposed on the number of measurement points of the pollutant concentrations at which the TDCs can still be recovered have been established. The proposed method provides determination of the TDCs in a wide range of values under different meteorological conditions. aMoscow Engineering Physics Institute (State University), Moscow, Russia; email: nagornov@dpt39.mephi.ru; bNational Independent University (Nacional Universidad Autonoma de Mexico), Mexico City, Mexico.
