HEAT TRANSFER FROM A SURFACE WITH SPHERICAL HOLLOWS IN BOILING OF WATER AND A STEAM-WATER MIXTURE IN THE SUPERCRITICAL REGION
I. L. Mostinskii, V. D. Geshele, D. A. Goryainov, and I. P. Raskatov UDC 536.24 The authors carried out an experimental investigation of heat transfer in the supercritical zone in flow of water and a steam-water mixture in a vertical annular channel. The interior wall heated by the current was either smooth or with hollows stamped in a straight-line order. The application of them increased the heat-transfer coefficient by a factor of 1.5-2 or more. The increase in the frictional resistance was much smaller.
