THERMAL PROTECTION BASED ON CRYSTALLINE HYDRATES
A. K. Alekseev and M. P. Shuvalov UDC 536.5:519.6 Consideration is given to the possibility of using crystalline hydrates as a source of water, on whose evaporation most of the heat passing to the protected surface is expended. A version of the thermal protection based on silica fabric, whose pores are partly filled with a crystalline hydrate, is studied. Test results are presented. Experimental data are analyzed.
