REGULARITIES OF THE DYNAMICS OF SPHERICAL EXPLOSIONS
IN HOMOGENEOUS GASES

It is found that the calculated recoil momentum for 
sufficiently large target radii is negative irrespective of the variations 
in the equation of state, whereas the experimentally measured value 
is positive regardless of the target dimensions. An explanation for 
the difference revealed is proposed.
