On the basis of the Nernst-Planck equation, the coefficient of
the moisture transfer through sealing polymeter films as a function
of the potential difference for a homogeneous electric field is
obtained. The equation for engineering calculations of moisture
transfer through pressurizing film coatings of dissimilar thicknesses
in dc and ac industrial-frequency electric fields is proposed.
