IMPROVEMENT OF THE EFFICIENCY OF A SOLAR THERMOELECTRIC BATTERY
A. I. Novikov UDC 621.362.02 A refined model for calculation of the heat transfer inside a thermoelectric temperature transducer of the module type is considered as applied to the structure of a solar thermoelectric battery. An investigation is made of the dependence of the useful electric power of the battery on the geometric characteristics of its thermomodules and the structural parameters of the battery. It is shown that for each value of the external load optimum values of the cross-sectional area and height of the thermoelement arms exist, at which the maximum useful electric power is realized.
