THERMAL SLIP FOR A GAS WITH COLLISION FREQUENCY
PROPORTIONAL TO THE VELOCITY OF MOLECULES

Exact solutions are obtained for the problem of the thermal slip of
an inhomogeneously heated gas along a plane surface in a half-space.
Two classes of the model kinetic Boltzmann equations are applied:
the equation with a collision operator in the BGK (Bhatnagar, Gross,
and Krook) form and in the form of an ellipsoidal-statistical model
(this equation is constructed for the first time). The collision
frequency in both models is proportional to the velocity of molecules.
The results of numerical calculations are presented.
