A method for calculating thermal-diffusion separation
in a multicomponent mixture of gases is presented that
does not require the application of either a thermal
-diffusion coefficient or other quantities associated
with it (a thermal-diffusion ratio, a factor of thermal
diffusion). A comparison of the calculated results with
experimental data for binary mixtures is given.
