Results of an investigation of heat transfer in reaction
tubes of furnaces for the pyrolysis and conversion of hydrocarbons
are presented. Mathematical models of a furnace are developed, and
generalized relationships between the diameter of the reaction coil,
its length, the pyrogas temperature, and the time of contact are
obtained. Optimum dimensions of reaction tubes and coils are determined.
