Biomechanical investigations made it possible to determine
the character and extent of functional deformations of a
lower jaw in its different parts. Minimal deformations are
observed in the region of the angle and alveolar part in
the horizontal plane of the lower jaw. Deformations in the
mentum part are not regular and depend on the kind of
functional load.
