A mathematical model of the evaporation of a water-emulsion
mixture (lubricating agent) in thermal treatment of a synthetic
fiber is suggested. It is based on an approximation of
interpenetrating continua. A substantial effect of deformation
heat losses on the evaporation-front motion is shown.
